Sailing Yacht

Our 40-46 ft sailing yachts are top of their class, sleeping eight passengers in four cabins. Each of those cabins will have either one double bed or bunk beds. Those four cabins open into a dining room/kitchen area. You'll also have two bathrooms on board with a shower. You'll be spending much of your time above deck, which has a rubber dinghy for reaching the shore from a buoy and plenty of room to lay out and enjoy the sun.

*Cabin plan is for illustrative purposes only and cabin arrangements are subject to change.

Kassiopi
DAY 1 | Overnight Stay

Get comfortable sailing as we head north to the seaside town of Kassiopi. We’ll arrive at the pristine horseshoe bay where you’ll find it difficult to resist diving straight into the crystal clear water. Spend the afternoon swimming, getting to know your fellow travellers or exploring the Venetian castle that overlooks the bay. Tonight we’ll head into the village of Kassiopi where we’ll get our first taste of Ionian charm at a local taverna, that often carries on well into the night.

Sivota
DAY 2 | Overnight Stay

This morning there’s time for breakfast onboard before we sail toward the idyllic Sivota. We’ll stop in a secluded bay for a swim before carrying on to this seaside town that is well known for being one of the greenest in the Ionian Sea. Think lush landscapes, sandy white beaches and a quintessentially Greek fishing village! This afternoon we’ll head to the Blue Lagoon, where blue turquoise water and refracted light into the cave make for exciting and amazing photo opportunities. We’ll spend the afternoon swimming and snorkelling in the incredibly clear water before watching the sunset over the bay.

Parga
DAY 3 | Overnight Stay

Today we set sail for Parga, a beautiful village on the mainland, framed by two incredibly clear bays. Parga’s Old Town is full of colourful Greek buildings that are dwarfed by impressive Venetian fortifications in the background! For those looking for a little adventure, Parga can be explored on two wheels as you scooter around the village and surrounding green landscapes. If you’d prefer to laze the day away, head to Valtos Beach where you can swim, sunbathe or splurge on watersports. After a traditional Greek dinner, we’ll head out to a cocktail bar on the beach, before dancing the night away at one of the many bars in the village!

Gaios
DAY 4 | Overnight Stay

Leaving Parga behind, we’ll sail toward the island of Paxos. We’ll overnight in the colourful town of Gaios where freshly caught octopus and fish are the speciality! Paxos is well known for its olive oil, where olive trees as old as 500 years are found all over the island. It would be a crime to leave Paxos without participating in olive oil tasting, so make sure you stock up at one of the local olive oil shops. This evening we’ll discover what all the fuss is about as we indulge in fresh seafood and cocktails at a lively local taverna.

Antipaxos
DAY 5 | Overnight Stay

Rise and shine! Today we'll sail to the almost deserted island of Antipaxos. This tiny island measures only 4km long, making it the ultimate Robinson Crusoe experience! Chalk white beaches and crystal clear waters remain untouched from tourism thanks to an annual population of around 20 people living on the island. Explore the famous Voutoumi and Vrika beaches, snorkel in the unbelievably clear water and dine at a pop up taverna, where you and your Med Experience family might just be the only ones there!

Lakka
DAY 6 | Overnight Stay

Waking up in Antipaxos is pretty close to waking up at your own slice of paradise! After breakfast onboard we’ll say goodbye to Antipaxos and sail to the eclectic village of Lakka, where we’ll spend the night. Be as relaxed or as active as you’d like today, with the option to rent a scooter and discover the island at your leisure, go scuba diving in the renowned waters surrounding Paxos, explore the colourful village, set out in search of epic sea caves or relax on the beach. If you’re after Greek charm at its finest, you are bound to find it in one of the bars and tavernas that line the waterfront!

Gouvia
DAY 7 | Overnight Stay

Enjoy your last day sailing as we make our way back to Gouvia Marina and the UNESCO listed Old Town of Kerkyra. If you didn't get the opportunity to explore Kerkyra prior to your departure, this is the time to discover many hidden cafes, museums, churches and bars scattered throughout the cobblestoned streets.

Rise and shine – at 8:30am you’ll say goodbye to your Skipper and make your way on to your next adventure.

FAQ's

We recommend flying into Corfu International Airport, which is serviced by many low cost European airlines. The easiest way to get to Gouvia Marina from the airport is to catch a taxi, which should cost between 20 and 30 Euros.

Yes! This is one of our favourite things about Med Experience. Whilst your skipper will be in charge of the yacht, from time to time the skipper may even ask you to help out – sailing a 40 ft yacht by yourself isn’t easy – but for the most part you’ll enjoy the sound of the wind in the sails as you lay on the yachts deck during the day. Of course, we don’t have control over the wind, so on days when the weather conditions aren't optimal for sailing, we’ll use our motor to make our way around the coast.

Breakfast is included and one skippers lunch will be provided. Each yacht is also equipped with a kitchenette including gas stove, oven and kettle. You will need to organise your own food and drink through the week. There will be small supermarkets at most destinations along the way. It is easy to stock up along the way so it is never too much of an issue to sort out breakfast and lunch. In the evenings, you'll have a wide variety of restaurant options. Greece has delicious, locally-grown food, and your skippers will be happy to recommend the perfect restaurant suitable for any budget.

A local payment of 55 Euros per person is not included in the price. This is to be paid locally.

Greece uses the Euro and is a part of the European Union as well as the Schengen region. There are plenty of ATM’s in Greece to get cash out as well as exchange offices.

Check in will take place in Gouvia Marina, Corfu. If you’re departing in June, check in officially starts at 3pm, for a 4pm departure, on the first day of your tour. Those guests departing on Sail Greece in July, your check-in time will be 1pm, for a 2pm departure, on the first day of your tour.

The tour ends in Gouvia Marina, Corfu. We ask all our passengers to disembark by 8:30am to allow us time to clean the yacht before the next departure.

If you miss your departure, you'll need to utilise Greece’s network of public ferries and busses to catch up. Don't worry though, we'll give you the phone number for the skipper who will help talk you through the process and meet you at the yachts when you arrive.

The best way to imagine our yachts is like a campervan on the water: Four sleeping rooms, two bathrooms (toilet and shower), one common room with kitchen supplies and a whole deck above you to relax under the sun. Our prices are based on twin share cabins. The yachts contain double and twin cabins. We will always put friends who book together in the same cabin.

Our yachts feature double and twin cabins (bunks). We reserve our twin cabins for solo travellers who will be matched up with another independent traveller, while groups of friends sleep in double cabins. Whilst we endeavour to bunk travellers of the same sex together, you may share your cabin with a member of the opposite sex.

If you don’t want to share your cabin with another solo traveller you can reserve the whole cabin for yourself, and pay for the cost of two spots.

Absolutely! When we arrive to our destination each afternoon, you’re free to explore the shore. Our knowledgeable team will be able to direct you to the best places to eat, drink or shop – but what you do with your evenings is up to you.

The tours are designed for 18-39 year old travellers, so a mixture of this age range will be on the tour with you. We find that most of our clients are a mix of couples, groups and solo travellers. All travellers must be 18 years of age when the tour commences.

Yes they are, however the towels are for indoor/shower use only – you’ll need to bring your own beach towel for outdoors.

Whilst you’re welcome to bring whatever kind of luggage you like, we recommend bringing a soft-sided bag such as a backpack, rucksack or duffel bag. Soft-style bags can be stowed away under floorboards, giving you more room during the week.

Wi-Fi is available, however it is subject to download limits and is capped for each departure. Please be mindful of other travellers onboard and use Wi-Fi sparingly
